It’s not even on molten salt reactors, but it’s so very, very charming. We’re not used to communicate about nuclear energy in a way like this.
In response to this chart, I asked Suzy who she was and why she made this chart.
This was her answer:
I’m a doctoral student in Ottawa, Canada researching communication about nuclear risk. Personally, I think nuclear power is important for moving beyond fossil fuels but that its risks are overhyped and block public acceptance. For the pictograph, I tried communicate about nuclear power in a new and truthful way that would seem less threatening and more positive to people.
